The combination of textured patterns and a smooth knitted surface gives this wardrobe staple the charm of a fashionable classic.
Sizes: 36/38 (40/42) 44/46
Sizes (Russian): 42/44 (46/48) 50/52

You will need: 500 (550) 550 g of eggplant color yarn Lana Grossa “Linarte” (40% viscose, 30% cotton, 20% linen, 10% polyamide; 125 m/50 g); knitting needles No. 3, 4 and 4.5; 2 buttons with a diameter of 19 mm.
Knitting technique.
Facial surface: persons rows - persons. p., out. rows - purl. P.
Elastic band 1×1: alternately 1 persons. p., 1 p. P.
Pattern with dropped loops.
1st r.: 1 krom., * 3 persons, 1 yarn over, from * constantly repeat, 1 krom.
2nd row: purl all loops and yarn overs.
3rd row: knit all stitches.
4th row: knit all the loops, while lowering the loops above the yarn over and unraveling until the 1st row.
1–4th r. repeat constantly.
Emphasized decreases:
before the pattern with dropped loops - knit 2 stitches together;
after the pattern with dropped loops - knit 2 stitches together with a slant to the left (= remove 1 loop, as in knitting, knit 1, then pull the removed loop through it).
Emphasized increases: in each repeat of the pattern with dropped loops, add 1 stitch to the dropped loop, for which knit 1 stitch from the broach. Thus, the number of loops in each repeat increases by 1 stitch. Include the added loops in the pattern so that 1 more loop is knitted between the lowered loops.
Knitting density.
Stockinette stitch with knitting needles No. 4.5: 20 sts and 32 r. = 10 x 10 cm;
Pattern with dropped loops using knitting needles No. 3: 18 sts and 35 r. = 10 x 10 cm.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
Back: Using knitting needles No. 4, cast on 89 (98) 107 loops with double thread crossed. Then switch to needles No. 3 and knit 14.5 cm = 52 r. pattern with dropped loops. Then switch to needles No. 4 and knit in stockinette stitch. After 42.5 (44) 45 cm = 136 (140) 144 rows of loops close.
Left shelf: Using knitting needles No. 4, cast on 62 (65) 68 loops with double thread crossed. Then switch to needles No. 3 and knit 14.5 cm = 52 r. pattern with dropped loops. Next, distribute the loops as follows: using knitting needles No. 4.5, knit: 1 chrome, 44 (48) 52 sts in stockinette stitch, then switch to knitting needles No. 3 and knit on the remaining loops in a pattern with dropped loops, starting with 1 yarn over. Maintain this distribution of stitches on two knitting needles until the end of the piece; when changing knitting needles, pull the working thread tightly between both patterns. After 25 cm = 80 rub. On the front satin stitch before the pattern with dropped loops, perform 1 emphasized decrease. Repeat this decrease another 13 (14) 15 times in every 4th row. Simultaneously with the 1st decrease, add 1 st in each stripe of the front stitch of the pattern with dropped loops, repeat this increase another 1 x in the 30th row. After 17.5 (19) 20 cm = 56 (60) 64 r. from the 1st decrease/increase, close 31 (34) 37 sts in stockinette stitch, for the collar, knit with a pattern with dropped loops another 8 cm = 29 (31) 33 r., then leave the loops temporarily.
Right shelf: knit in the same way as the left front, but in a mirror image.

Sleeves: Using knitting needles No. 4, cast on for each sleeve with double thread crossed 55 (58) 61 loops and knit for the placket after the edge, starting with 1 purl row and 1 purl row, 6 cm = 20 r. with an elastic band. Then switch to needles No. 3 and knit in a pattern with dropped loops. After 5.5 cm = 20 r. from the bar, add 1 stitch on both sides for bevels, then add another in every 20th row. 3 x 1 p. and in every 10th p. 3 x 1 p. Include added loops in the pattern. After 2 cm = 8 r. From the last increase, close off all the loops.
Assembly: sew shoulder seams. Connect the remaining loops of the collar edges with a loop-to-loop stitch. Sew the collar into the neck of the back. Sew side seams and sleeve seams. Sew in the sleeves. On the left front, sew 2 buttons at the border between the front satin surface area and the pattern with dropped loops, 1 button at a distance of 22 cm from the bottom edge, the other 12 cm above. Buttonholes are holes in a pattern with dropped loops.
