Seaside Watcher Pullover
Women's pullover in soft pink color with an openwork insert and balloon sleeves, knitted on knitting needles.
Dimensions: XS-SML-XL-XXL
You will need: DROPS Air yarn - 250-300-300-350-350-400 g pink (col. 24).
Knitting density: 16 p. wide x 20 r. in height with stockinette stitch = 10×10 cm.
Spokes: circular knitting needles No. 5.5, 60 or 80 cm long for stockinette stitch; circular knitting needles No. 4.5, 40 or 80 cm long for elastic.
Garter stitch/garter ribbing (forward and reverse rows): In all rows there are knit stitches. 1 scarf in garter stitch = 2 r. garter stitch = knit 2 rows.
Pattern: see diagrams A.1-A.Z. Select a pattern of your size (applicable to pattern A.Z). The diagrams show all the front and back rows, the front rows are read from right to left, the back rows are read from left to right.
Description of work:
Decrease stitches (even distribution): to calculate a uniform decrease in stitches, divide the total number of loops (for example, 100 stitches) by the number of required decreases (for example, 11) = 9.09. In this example, to decrease, you need to knit every 8th and 9th stitch together.
Increase in loops: all increases are performed in the front rows. Add 1 p., making 1 yarn over inside 1 edge loop on both sides of the product (= 2 p.). In the next row, knit the yarn over with a crossed yarn over.
Closing the loops: To avoid a too tight edge, the knitting needles can be changed to thicker ones. If the edge turns out to be pulled together, you need to make 1 yarn over after every 4th stitch, closing it like a regular loop.
Important: The front and back are knitted separately on circular needles in rows in forward and reverse directions from bottom to top. The stitches for the armholes and neckline are closed off, after which the shoulders are knitted separately.
The sleeves are knitted on circular needles in rows in forward and reverse directions. The neck strap is knitted after the seams of the product are completed.
Back: cast on 88-94-100-106-115-124 sts (including 1 edge stitch on both sides) on circular needles No. 4.5 and purl 1. R. knit purlwise. Next, continue with an elastic band, starting from the front row:
1 edge stitch in garter stitch - see description above, * 2 p., 1 knit. *, from * to * repeat until 3 sts remain, finish 2 p. and 1 edge stitch in garter stitch.
At an elastic band height of 5 cm, knit 1 stitch. R. with knit stitches, decrease evenly 11-11-11-11-12-11 sts - see “Decreasing loops” = 77-83-89-95-103-113 p. Next 1 purl. R. knit purlwise. Switch to circular needles No. 5.5. Work in stockinette stitch and 1 edge stitch in garter stitch on each edge.
Consider the knitting density! With a length of 30-31-32-33-34-35 cm from the cast-on edge, bind off 4-4-4-5-6-6 sts at the beginning of the next 2 rows. for armholes = 69-75-81-85-91-101 sts. Work in stockinette stitch and 1 edge stitch in garter stitch on each edge. With a length of 41-43-45-47-49-51 cm in the following persons. R. medium 37-37-39-39-41-41 p. set aside temporarily (for the neckline). Knit separately 16-19-21-23-25-30 sts for each shoulder.
Right shoulder: knit in stockinette stitch and 1 edge stitch in garter stitch on each edge. Close every 2nd r. along the neckline (i.e. at the beginning of each p.) 1 p. 2 times = 14-17-19-21-23-28 p. From the front side, when the length of the product is 48-50-52- 54-56-58 cm from cast-on edge, bind off all stitches as knit stitches.
Left shoulder: knit as the right one, but bind off the neck loops at the beginning of each front row.
Before: cast on 87-93-99-105-114-123 sts (including 1 edge loop on both sides) on circular needles No. 4.5 and purl 1. R. knit purlwise. Next, continue with an elastic band from the front side as follows: 1 edge stitch in garter stitch, k1, * purl 2, k1. *, from * to * repeat until 1 stitch remains, and finish with 1 edge stitch in garter stitch.
At an elastic band height of 5 cm, knit 1 stitch. R. with knit stitches and at the same time evenly decrease 10-10-10-10-11-10 sts = 77-83-89-95-103-113 sts. Purl 1 p. R. Switch to circular needles No. 5.5. Continue knitting the pattern as follows:
1 edge stitch in garter stitch, 0-3-6-9-9-14 stitches in stockinette stitch, A.1 (= 11 stitches), A.2 (= 10 stitches), A.3 (= 33-33 -33-33-41-41 p.), A2 (= 10 p.), A.1 (= 11 p.), 0-3-6-9-9-14 p. in stockinette stitch and 1 edge stitch in garter stitch viscous.
With a length of 30-31-32-33-34-35 cm from the cast-on edge, bind off 4-4-4-5-6-6 sts at the beginning of the next 2 rows. for armholes = 69-75-81-85-91-101 sts. Work in pattern as before, with 1 edge stitch in garter stitch on each edge.
With a length of 38-39-41-42-43-44 cm in the following faces. R. set aside the middle 33-33-33-33-41-41 stitches for the neckline.
Knit separately 18-21-24-26-25-30 sts for each shoulder.
Right shoulder: knit in stockinette stitch and according to patterns A.1 and A.2, as before, knit an edge loop in garter stitch from each edge. Close every 2nd r. along the neckline (at the beginning of each front row) 2 p. 1-1-1-1-0-0 times, 1 p. 2-2-3-3-2-2 times = 14-17-19- 21-23-28 p.
For sizes XS-SML Finish the openwork pattern according to pattern A.2, continue knitting loops according to the pattern. Purl the stitches and knit the remaining stitches in stockinette stitch.
For sizes XL-XXL knit the pattern as before. From each edge, knit 1 edge loop in knit stitch. When the product reaches a height of 48-50-52-54-56-58 cm from the cast-on edge, bind off all stitches as knit stitches in the right row.
Left shoulder: knit as the right one, but close the neck loops at the beginning of each purl. R.
Sleeves: cast on 35-35-38-38-41-41 sts (including 1 edge stitch in garter stitch on both sides) on circular needles No. 4.5 and purl 1. r, knit with purl.
Next persons. R. knit this way: 1 edge stitch in garter stitch, * purl 2, knit 1. *, from * to * repeat until 1 stitch remains, and finish with 1 edge stitch in garter stitch. At an elastic band height of 5 cm, knit 1 stitch. R. and increase: 1 edge stitch in garter stitch, knit 4-3-4-4-6-5, * 1 yarn over, knit 1 *, from * to * repeat until 5-4-5-5 remains -7-6 p., 4-3-4-4-6-5 knit and 1 edge stitch in garter stitch = 60-62-66-66-68-70 p. 1 purl. R. knit purlwise.
Switch to circular needles No. 5.5 and continue with the pattern as follows: 1 edge loop in garter stitch, 24-25-27-27-28-29 sts in stockinette stitch, according to pattern A.2 on the next 10 sts.., 24- 25-27-27-28-29 stitches in stockinette stitch and 1 edge stitch in garter stitch. A.2 repeat in height.
With a sleeve length of 10 cm, add 0-0-0-1-1-1 p. inside 1 edge loop on both sides - see “Increasing loops”.
Thus, every 8 cm, increase in a total of 0-0-0-2-2-3 times = 60-62-66-70-72-76 p. With a sleeve length of 47-47-47-46-44- 42 cm from the cast-on edge, attach 1 marker after the hem at the beginning of the next row - the marker marks the beginning of the bottom of the armhole.
Continue knitting until the length of the product is 50-50-50-49-48-46 cm. Close the loops - see “Closing the loops”. Knit the 2nd sleeve in the same way.
Assembly: sew shoulder seams. Sew the sleeve, leaving 3-3-3-3-4-4 cm open at the very top (distance from the marker to the top). Sew the open part of the sleeve to the bottom of the armhole, then sew the remaining part of the sleeve.
Sew the side seams, catching 1 edge loop.
Neck strap:start from the shoulder and from the front, dial approx. across the entire neckline. 75-96 sts on short circular needles No. 4.5 (the number of loops should be a multiple of 3). Make sure that the strap relative to the neckline is not too loose or tight. Knit in a 4cm round with rib (= k1/p2). Close off all stitches with knit stitches.

Бесшовная техника, безусловно, имеет свои плюсы, но эта вязаная модель не так уж проста: вязание начинаем с двойной планки горловины, потом переходим к двум кокеткам, переду, спинке и рукавам, а заканчиваем работу планками в резинку.
